Steven was the Project Manager for the design and replacement of all existing water mains and service lines throughout the community. The project involves the replacement of over 20,000 linear feet of buried arctic piping. He provided oversight and coordination of the multiple disciplines throughout the design and was the main point of contact with the State of Alaska ADEC Village Safe Water and the City of Unalakleet. This project is at 100% design and awaiting the completion of permitting.
Steven was the project manager for the design of a new community water and sewer pipe system and a remodel of the WTP/ washeteria. The project involves 38 new service connections and installation of over 10,000 linear feet of buried arctic piping. He provided oversight and coordination of the multiple disciplines throughout the design and was the main point of contact with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) and the City of Shageluk. This project was substantially completed in the Fall of 2023, and final completion is anticipated in the Summer of 2024.
Steven provided evaluation, design, and permitting service for a new WTP and washeteria for the City of Wales; Steven served as the Civil Engineering Lead from the 35% design through final construction documents. The project included the design of a new water source infiltration gallery and pump station, a 2,000-square-foot WTP/washeteria, improvements to the existing water distribution system, and a new septic system and drain field. In addition to developing plans and specifications for the project, Steven was the Project Manager through construction, scheduled for completion in Summer 2024.
Steven was the Project Manager for the construction of the new WTP/Washeteria. This new facility houses a conventional water treatment system, new laundry equipment and restroom facilities, and a sewage lift station. Construction also included upgrades to the sewer force main shared with the school. The project was substantially completed in the Fall of 2023, and final completion is scheduled for late Spring 2024.
Steven was the Lead Civil Engineer for the site development for the new filter plant building and the critical secondary water intake for the City and Borough of Sitka. The new filter building is on an existing site adjacent to the existing UV Facility. The critical secondary water intake is within Sawmill Creek Canyon and required rock blasting to provide an accessible water source option. Steven assisted with the construction administration of this project.
Steven was the Project Manager for the construction of a new WTP in the community of Seldovia. The WTP treatment building is a 2,079-square-foot, pre-engineered metal building that utilizes three eight-foot-diameter media filters capable of treating water at a rate between 80 and 285 GPM. These filters are backwashed as required into a 28,000-gallon concrete tank located below grade on site. He provided construction management services, including management of force account employees, material procurement, design clarifications, tracking cost, schedule, and construction progress.
Steven was the Project Manager responsible for designing a new water intake for Arctic Village; he also provided construction management services for force account construction of the new WTP and washeteria. Construction occurred in two phases. Phase I involved site development and construction of the building foundation and shell. Phase II included completing all the interior components, finishes, and process, mechanical, and electrical systems. The water system features a fill-and-draw raw water system and a conventional package plant treatment system. His responsibilities include the management of force account employees, material procurement, design clarifications, and tracking the cost, schedule, and construction progress.
